Fly Corporate is pleased to announce that from 1 February 2017 they will commence services between Brisbane and Biloela QLD following the cessation of Qantas services to Biloela the previous day.

The schedule will offer afternoon return flights from Brisbane on Mondays and Fridays and morning return services every weekday. They will also offer a Sunday afternoon return service.

CEO of Fly Corporate, Mr Andrew Major, said that with the assistance of the Banana Shire Council we have been able to react quickly to ensure there will be no gap in air services for Biloela. He added that the Council and our organisation know that the viability of the service will rely on the transition to a new carrier being as seamless as possible.

A 34 passenger Saab 340B Plus turbo-prop aircraft will be utilised for the service. Mr Major explained that the Saab 340B Plus is a comfortable pressurised aircraft offering similar comfort and performance to the Dash 8 aircraft currently servicing this route. Mr Major thanked all involved for making this happen on such a short time line and said he looked forward to bringing the Fly Corporate service to Biloela.

Banana Shire Council Mayor Cr Nev Ferrier said that Council is looking forward to the introduction of services by Fly Corporate commencing in February.  We acknowledge the quick response from Fly Corporate in helping Council overcome the potential loss of service to the Banana Shire area.  Further I would take the opportunity to encourage the Banana Shire community to support this valuable and important service.
