Fly Corporate will be celebrating six months of services into Wollongong this week having commenced regular airline services between Wollongong, Melbourne and Brisbane in November 2018.
Key factors in Fly Corporate’s decision to commence services included the then current passenger numbers, growth potential of the route and significant community support. Fly Corporate has delivered a reliable air service to the region including peak morning and evening services. Highlights include –
- New enhanced schedule commenced April 2019 with 32 flights per week.
- Direct flights from Melbourne and Brisbane to Wollongong Illawarra Regional Airport.
- Industry leading on-time performance of 94.8% and no diversions since commencement.
- Shellharbour, Wollongong, Kiama, Nowra, Southern Highlands and South Coast residents are using the service.
- No need to commute to/from Sydney Airport – passengers confirm time savings of up to 5 hours per return trip.
